Hi all, I guess this is kind of a dumb question, but my switch is now trying to get me to update the firmware, and some recent games that I have installed need the firmware to run. I checked the atmosphere github page, though, and it says that it was last updated on April 29th. Is the new firmware nintendo is bugging me to install compatible with the latest atmosphere, or do I just need to wait it out until the newer version of atmosphere comes out to play the newer games?

Atmosphere 1.3.2 is compatible with FW 14.1.2

Thank you! I'm hesitant and gunshy when it comes to anything having to do with atmosphere or hekate, since I have had to format my sd cards from making mistakes in installing atmosphere, and I've even thought that I had bricked my switch a couple of times. I'll learn how to install it without breaking something one of these days:wacko:

Backups are your friend:

1) Move/Rename /atmosphere to /atmosphere.bk
2) Move/Rename /bootloader to /bootloader.bk
3) copy /bootloader.bk/hekate_ipl.ini to /bootloader/
4) do PC version of this: https://rentry.org/UpdateCFW
5) grab FW from that Darthsternie Firmware site
6) do this https://rentry.org/UpgradeDowngrade

Hi, with tinfoil down these days...where are you guys getting your NSPs from?
Rule number 1…we don’t talk about fight club.

Tinfoil isn’t down. The shops that serve it can no longer use the cheap Education account storage backends.

There are other shops. You will need to search for them on your own. Don’t ask for warez here.

I have a single game I have issues with. Its always worked until recently. I ddi update hekate and atmosphere, all other games work. It gave me this error, so I uninstalled and and tried to reinstall it and it gives the same error. I did delete user save data too. I have the nsz and xci files. I origionally got it from tinfoil, but since then had to get them another way. Any reason why this single game is giving me these issues?
Try booting into Maintenance Mode once. To do that, hold the volume + and - buttons when turning the console on.

Hi everyone, I have a friend who accidentally deleted their Animal Crossing save without a backup. A 2 year old save.

I purchased a jig and I'm trying to see if I can scan the internal drive of the switch to do a recovery. I told them to shut the switch off immediately and wait till I could try it myself so as to not overwrite the sectors I'm desiring to recover.

I only have a macbook to work with is there additional steps required to getting into RCM mode?

It's an unpatched and unmodded launch console.

I do have experience with mods from other nintendo devices previously, but this is my first switch attempt.

I've read a few guides and watched a few videos, but nothing with my specific questions answered.
First, RCM mode is redundant. RCM stands for Recovery Mode so RCM mode is like saying recovery mode mode. You don't say PIN number or HIV Virus do you? Secondly, whatever device you have available has no bearing on entering RCM; it just changes how you send the payload once the console is in RCM. Thirdly, I recommend following this guide for full details on how to hack the console.

OK, I am in maintenance mode.....now what? says update system, inistialize console without deleting, and initialize console.

Just exit it by turning off the console. Then try booting back into CFW and see if the problem is still there. You will be surprised at how many issues this has solved.

Still gave me the error code 2002-4153. Even after a fresh install....it took longer to get to the error screen, but still came up after about 10 seconds. Any other suggestions?

Um, my best bud had his Switch stolen and ALL data wiped out, but the thief got arrested trying to sell the stolen Switch at a pawn shop... so he got his Switch back, but now he wants me to put CFW on it. I know I need to boot RCM but even after 4 hours of messing up with paperclips, the Nintendo logo still appears. Here's the steps I am following (from the official homebrew tutorials)

1 - Plug the Switch to a PC using an USB Cable, then fully turn the Switch off
2 - Put the 6mm paperclip where the right Joy-Con normally is
3 - Press and hold Volume + button
4 - Push POWER button ONCE then let bo both buttons

And FYI, I do not possess a credit/debit card so I can't buy a jig on Amazon... Plus my buddy said he doesn't intend to go on the Internet with his Switch.

Well without a jig, then your only option is to use something else to trigger RCM with. Luckily, the community devised a list of common household items that can be used to enter RCM. You can find that list in this thread.

Using NH Switch Guide, I set up an emuMMC that to my knowledge blocks Nintendo's servers, downloaded one theme, and then SRB2 through the homebrew shop.

After that, I primarily used sysnand to play with Smash mods online, and have only ever used wifi-safe mods, though I ended up activating hbmenu a couple times in sysnand.

Is any of that okay or am I waiting for a ban, I've avoided one for a good week or so but I don't know if it's just delayed.

Going online after usage of any CFW/homebrew can warrant a ban. Since you've already gone online, consider yourself flagged at this point. Now its up to Nintendo whether or not you can get banned. Also bans can occur at any time. Some people have even reported being banned after one year so avoiding for just one week is no sign that you're safe.

Hey. I keep getting a crash after installing mods for Pokemon Sword on atmosphere... not finding anything about it online. Here it is-

Panic occured while running atmosphere.

Title ID: 010041544D530000
Error: std: :abort <0XFFE>

Running the game without mods gives me no issue whatsoever. There's no folder with that title id in contents, either. I've tried doing the Archive Bit Fix to no avail. What do I do?
