That is against the rules of this forum. I cannot even share that information via private message.

Ok sorry I was just curious, not trying to get anyone in trouble. I actually figured it out. I’m just going to do what you told me before & just use the Tinwoo/Awoo installer, because finding a good shop is annoying. I see some dumps with both xci & nsp files together. So Can I combine both & install them to my switch with the updates & DLC all together

Yes, that is perfectly fine to do.

Well I believe the issue of not being able to boot is related to using exFAT and you don't need exFAT to boot the console into CFW so you should try formatting the SD card to FAT32.

I suppose it is possible although I don't have any experience using TegraExplorer to dump firmware files.

Alright I might aswell try and see then :)

I just read that I could dump the firmware-files from my sysMMC without booting sysMMC via TegraExplorer, is that a thing?
That's correct you can do that. Just send the TegraExplorer payload and from the menu select Dump Firmware. It will dump the firmware to SD:\tegraexplorer\firmware\<firmware number>

Nice, I did that now and Daybreak successfully updated my emuMMC, even my custom-theme was still applied and everything works like a charm, thanks :)

@Draxzelex so you know when other people ask, this works perfectly! :)

I have a question.
When I turned on my Switch again from sleep mode, it said there were updates downloaded. Mario Kart and 2 others.
How do I check the other games and update history of the games?

Thanks in advance.
P.S. I don't have a hacked Switch and not planning to.

Hello, some noobs question below. I have a first version switch running OS 10.1, atmosphere 0.13 with Hekate 5 as bootloader. Any I have goldleaf 0.8 for installing nsp. I use a classic xyz jig and dongle. My sdcard is exfat. I don’t think that I use emuMMC.
-should I consider upgrading OS, atmosphere, goldleaf, hekate ? Why ?
- I’d like to play SNES, NES and arcade games (and other machines later). I tried retroarch and the nsp packages of pNES, pSNES and pFBA by Prb.
pSNES works fine, but the other will crash. Is there a way to make them work ? Possible with the same sdcard as the switch games, or is it necessary to use another card in FAT ?
- when my switch runs out of battery (my kids don’t always charge it), it is stuck in CFW mode and I need the dongle to start it again. Is there a way to either restart it without a dongle (I read about autoRCM but I probably don’t want to do this) ? Or to make it clean turn off when the battery becomes too low, so it restarts with the normal OS ?

thanks a lot

If you click (+) on the games from the Home menu screen, it will display to you the current version information.

  • You should update your CFW because newer CFW offers newer features and better stability. As for updating the OS, you should only ever update that if there is a game that requires a higher firmware version, if you wish to play online, or there is a feature in a new update that you wish to utilize.
  • Goldleaf is arguably the worst title installer and I don't even believe it has newer versions so I highly recommend switching to a better title installer such as TinWoo Installer.
  • Its possible that the crashing is due to your SD card being exFAT which is known to corrupt SD cards. There is no reason to use exFAT over FAT32 nowadays so you should switch to FAT32
  • If the console runs out of battery, it should actually not be in CFW. It sounds like AutoRCM may already be enabled if you need a dongle to start the console when it runs out of battery. You should double check by using Hekate to see if AutoRCM is already enabled or not

Thanks a lot, I’ll check all this. I thought there was a 4GB limit for files on a FAT32 card ? Otherwise I’ll just buy a new card and duplicate the current exFAT one on the new one.

There is a limit for placing files larger than 4 GB on an SD card formatted as FAT32 but the Switch automatically splits any games larger than 4 GB so you can install games larger than 4 GB using alternative methods such as USB or network installation.

Hi guys, I would like to update my switch with AIO but I never know where to start .. Firmware ? Atmosphere ? AIO ?
Can you help me please ? Thanks

I would not recommend using the AIO updater to update your Switch because many people have been having issues with that. As a general rule of thumb, CFW should always be updated before firmware because newer versions of CFW have no downsides compared to older versions but newer firmware versions break older versions of CFW. As for updating your CFW, its as simple as deleting the old CFW files (namely the /atmosphere and /sept folders) and downloading the newest ones from the GitHub page. If you are going to update your CFW, you will need newer patches which you can find in the pinned thread on this forum. Lastly, your Nintendo Switch firmware can be updated with the homebrew application Daybreak which comes bundled with Atmosphere by default. All you will have to do is find the Nintendo Switch firmware files of the firmware you wish to update to online. Since those files are copyrighted however, they cannot be shared here on this forum even via private message but Google is your friend.

Start with updating everything around CFW meaning Atmosphere, Hekate (if you use it) and sigpatches. Remember to also update your payload. Then you can update HOS (Nintendo Switch firmware) using Daybreak
You might also need to update some homebrew applications for them to work under the new firmware. This includes other payloads if you use them (lockpick_rcm, tegraexplorer...)

Perfect, thank you very much. Regarding AIO, I update it last ?

if you're talking about Atmosphere then I can confirm having issues after updating it with AIO Updater
Best way to update the CFW is manually imho, unless Scires doesn't provide an 'official' updater like Daybreak

Thanks for this reply -- it was very helpful. Is there a downside to remaining on older firmware? I'm still on 10.2 -- but I imagine any game updates would require me to move forward to higher revision, no? Other than updates and newer DLC possibly being gated by higher firmware, is there anything else I would miss out on?

Could somebody please reply with the right links to the appropriate payload file to launch atmosphere with my new ns-atmosphere dongle as well as the right SD files????

Thanks in advance.
