cant go online since it notify's me that there's a software update available (eg. 7.0) that's why I wanted to update cuz I got a lot of original games, but for some reason I can't boot 7.0. I don't want to burn fuses and remove autorcm to have it, I will use 6.2.0 for now

Did you update without burning fuses?

Yes, i updated from 5.1.0 ReiNX to 6.2.0 ReiNX by using the necessary "tool" without burning fuses, the nand backup of the previous cfw does not exist anymore.
I already figured it shouldnt ever be uninstalled because of this.

If he uninstall it and boot to OFW with Nintendo boot loader fuses will be burned to 6.2.0.

what's the point of "installing XCI" files with SX OS? Can I install the DLCs too without running the same risks as playing NSPs?

I have updated to 6.20 with ChoiDujourNX with autoRCM enabled. If I go into sx os menu and boot it with ofw option, will I burnt any fuses.

I connect my switch to other wifi and I forgot to configure 90dns.

Now every time I select a game the console show the notification for update.
Can I somehow disable this notification?

Maybe so SX OS can boast they have the ability to install .XCI files? On a more serious note, an installed .XCI file loads faster than mounting one so that could be one reason they implemented such a feature. I would imagine its safer to mount the .XCI file rather than install it though.

Whenever you boot up the console through SX OS, the fuse check is disabled. That goes for both the CFW and OFW options.

If you don't have AutoRCM, turn off the console then hold the volume - and + buttons while turning it on. If you do have AutoRCM, hold the volume buttons after sending a payload that boots OFW/CFW. You will enter a special screen known as maintenance mode and once you see it, the update will be automatically cleared without requiring any further input.

Hey everyone, newbie here with a simple question. I just baught a switch with serial ending in XAW1005600 but unfortunatly firmware was 4.0.1. Is it possible for me to innitiate HomeBrew through software alone without physically tampering with pin 10 on the device?

It's a fusee-gelee exploitable console, I mean you could probably use pegaswitch if you wanted, but you wouldn't get the full cfw benifits

If you are worried about the pins then I suggest ordering a jig from ebay, doing a nand backup then enabling autoRCM

I see, I guess getting a jig would work best. How about in the future, you think there will be exploitable methods without jigs?

Cool, yeah I was so excited when I saw my serial number thought i was getting the sweet one under 3.0.0, but I figured since the box didn't have any nintendo tape closing it, nintendo propably had all resellers at one point take out device and update it. Thankfully in my case it wasn't past 4.0.1

Hi everyone,
Can someone explain me why we can't do like mocha on wii U? I mean, boot on CFW, install NSP, reboot on OFW and lauch NSP. I Know it's a matter of signature but is that so difficult to override?
Thanks

It's been a while so I don't remember the exact details, but I think that's because the Wii U didn't really care what you installed on it, be it a game or a homebrew app. So long as it had a ticket and could function, that was all the system cared about. Several people could use the same ticket and there would be absolutely no penalties: even the eShop didn't care (DLC was another story though since that actually required a unique ticket, so you needed some exploit to ignore the system's checks).

All of the Switch's exploits rely on loading alternative bootloaders since we can't really write anything to the system partition that would render its protections useless (yet). Same thing with the 3DS: unless it was a legit CIA, you need to find some exploit to bypass them. To be honest, I've never really been sure why the Wii U had this trait but I'm not complaining :P.
