No i don’t need to run CFW on sysnand so do I leave the it default.txt will the sysnand be able to connect to the Nintendo shop then?

i only wish to run lastest firmware on clean sysnand and play legit games.
My emunand is 18..1.0 and Sysnand is 16.0.3.

That's a religious question, but I'd say the Picofly wins for cost, availability and open firmware.

If you're not running Atmosphere, you're also not running DNS redirection, yes. The only thing different from a coldboot with `stock=1` is bypassing fuses check/burn in the early bootloader.

I'm not sure what your question is, but if you boot without going through hekate (either no RCM on an old switch or vol up+down on a picofly), you're "cold booting", which means you're running a stock switch with the unmodified bootloader that checks/burns fuses depending on current firmware version.

It really doesn't matter if you don't plan on downgrading and want to then boot without hekate. It's just nice to not burn them.

Hey! I'm running in to an issue when trying to Backup/Migrate to new SD Card on Hekate, where it can't find the partition when trying to backup after turning SD partition "ON". Looks like other Mac users are experiencing this due to unwanted files that Mac creates. I tried using the "FIX RAW" option as recommended, but it is greyed out? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

If it's greyed out you do not have an emuMMC partition. "Unwanted Files" and archive flag issues should only affect the FAT partition. Are you sure you're not using a file-based emuMMC? What does Hekate show if you open the partitioner?

Thanks for your reply @Aurelia, when I go to EmuMMC info, it says my current setup is Type: SD File but my SD card doesn't have a backup folder and am almost positive I set it up as a separate partition. If it is an actual SD File setup, how can I tell if it is not a partition setup?

You'll have a large sparse file in emuMMC/SD00. This is okay to use, but more prone to filesystem corruption, especially if you mount the SD card outside the switch without using UMS mode in hekate.

If you select "Partition SD card" in hekate it should give you the current partition layout. The standard Disk Management on a Windows PC or Disk Utility in macOS should also be able to show you the partition layout.

You should be fine upgrading over OTA, given you only upgrade sys with it and use/used Daybreak for emu. If you boot through hekate the upgrade also wouldn't burn additional fuses. That's with `stock=1` and `emummc_force_disable=1`.

You can check your fuses in hekate, the firmware equivalent for number of burned fuses is documented here:

I don’t use AutoRCM atm turn on but that could make me burn fuse if I booted normally?
What’s next steps for me to play online?

All no-name clones. You could ask the sellers. But I'd go with a generic RP2040 Pico or Tiny from Waveshare and wire it by hand.

Doesn't matter, not like you will be able to find older version of Hwfly, the only one you can find today are these Picofly/RP2040 board, but in general In terms of stability, hwfly v4 (mv1-7.1/7.2) with QFN fpga chip = Instinct NX (v6) > picofly/rp2040 >>>> v5 with BGA fpga chip

So, my switch updated the Sysnand to the latest today (19.0.1 I think?!) with my kids trying to play Fortnite... now when launching (Atmosphère peharps?!) from Hekate I get a fuse error.

Lets consider I don't know exactly what to do to get emunand back again, so I'm doing a backup of the "\emuMMC" folder from the SD card using UMS.

From here, what now?

It sounds like you have to update Hekate and Atmosphere. You can download the latest version of them from their respective GitHub pages which I have linked. If you also pirate any games, you will need to update your patches which you can find in this thread.

I would like to initialize my console and start the modding process over again because nothing is working on 19.0.1... When I attempt to initialize it says "You do not have permission to view the information on this nintendo account." Is there a way i can do this manually without the nintendo servers?

Whats the current best way to dump games from my switch so that i have a backup file of them, i perviously used NXdump but it looks like that no longer works after i just updated to FW19.

I saw there was DBI which looks to work but looking at other threads it seems to possibly be malisious now, so wanting to avoid that one.
