Okay thank you. There is still one question coming up to my mind: I want to edit the savegame of ACNH because of getting items, other neighbors and so on. I think I will connect both of my ACNH games, the one I have now edited with Save Manager online on my banned switch and the new one, with local play and trade the items and neigbors and whatever. Is that save or is there a risk that my new switch will get banned? That's the neat part; you don't. Any usage of CFW/homebrew as you know with your previous console. So you have to decide if your save data is worth your access to online. If it were up to me, I wouldn't risk it as I would already have a hacked and banned console. Adding another would not be ideal.
Don't use the ones from sigmapatches. They aren't a good source of patches. Instead, use the ones from this thread.
That's only if you want a small emunand. Essentially, some people make their emunand small for just saves since you can install everything (besides saves) to the sd card. I just had to wipe my setup cause I screwed up and corrupted my sd. Made my emunand 9gb and still have ~200gb free on my sdThanks to wayayeo and stethix I have a working OLED with Picofly
I do have a question about EMUMMC. The stethix video instructed to make the eumnand partition 12GB. Does that mean anything I want to run in emummc needs to be on that partition? If so, I'm gonna have to make it a LOT bigger.
Or am I missing something?
https://yuzu-emu.org/wiki/faq/#how-do-i-use-mods-or-cheatsHi, so how do i download cheatcodes for the yuzu emulator for TOTK? is there a file i need to download or do I have to enter a code somewhere how does it work?
Will that cause issues if I go back to OFW to download/play my legit games? That's only if you want a small emunand. no it wont since emunand and sysnand are 2 separate environments. the games installed while in emunand wont be seen while in sysnand. Will that cause issues if I go back to OFW to download/play my legit games?
firmware doesnt matter. all firmwares are compatible with cfw, what matters is if you have a hackable switch that has the hardware exploit, exploiting rcm mode by shorting 2 pins. i suggest this guide, find out if its hackable. Worst case scenario, you learn some things and if it isnt. you gotta get a modchipI was looking for a way to connect my PS4 controller to my switch since I didn't want to drop $80 on a joycon so that I can play Mario Kart against my friend (I just own one joycon). I went ahead and ordered a 8Bitdo Wireless adapter but during my search I ran across Mission Control which sounds really cool.
Unfortunately, I never loaded cfw and is on v16.0.3. I started reading this guide (https://switch.homebrew.guide/gettingstarted/checkingrcm.html) and at Step 1: Accessing RCM. Is it still worthwhile to continue reading since I'm on the latest version meaning I'm unable to load cfw? Beside Mission Control I want to load backup games.
i dont know whats wrong besides one of the mods is crashing the game. remove all and then add mods 1 by 1 untill you figure out which one it is. then try redownloading it or see if there's an updateHi there! I have a Switch running 16.0.2, and I have a modded Smash Utimate with a folder of mods on my microSD. My 512GB card is formatted to FAT32, and everything was working great with things until I closed out of Smash, and then reopened it, it now immediately crashes. I have made no changes to the mods folder, and when I remove all mods by renaming the folder the game boots normally. What can I do to fix this?
can anyone help with answering these beginner questions, it will greatly help in getting me started, hello, new here,
and probably asking a repeated question, but I did use search i promise.
looking to mod a v2 non-led switch, with one of those mail - in services.
what would you guys recommend,
Should I go with a pico fly or hwfly
with one of the chips available on Aliexpress something like: t i ny ur l . co m / 2p 9 ce8 hs , -> similar exist for hwfly
.don't want to go the custom microcontroller route with pico chip as the pre-assembled boards like the one above are much neater.
my requirements are pretty much average,
- ability to boot into ofw (may be as a default) as the switch is a shared one.
- and boot to cfw + atmosphere for myself.
- the chip firmware itslef should be flashable / upgradable without too much of ahassle like ripping out wires or soldering.
things like open switch, connect usb cable and upgrade is fine.
- OFW will be online, need online play (the full switch experience). CFW (emummc) would be the hacky bit with offline play only, or may be some online things.
- Any general good to know things that apply for modchip + cf, like never nver booting to sysnand + cfw from hekate launch menu, Always using reboot -> OFW to boot to OFW etc?
- can someone point me to a good guide for setting up the cfw (hekate + atmosphere + emummc and the stuff)? .
All tutorials I could find talk about v1 software methods, but nothing that I could find specifically for mod chip. I know that at some points the steps are same , but I am looking for instructions on what to do right after installing just the modchip, how to setup sd card for use with modchip, which button combination to use to load to hekate etc.
Thank you!
https://nh-server.github.io/switch-guide/extras/transfer_sd/i would like to upgrade my atmosphere sd card, but i only have one slot for the memory card reader, is it possible to clone with just one slot ? (like clone to computer, then remove and put new sd card and put cloned files into it)
