Hardware Switch hating

Nobody wants the most powerful console but everybody wants a powerful console that is competitive, instead of two generations behind. Lame hardware means no 3rd party support means dead. And the Switch costs 100$ more than the multiple times faster PS4. Imagine how great Zelda would look an play in 4K 60FPS with everything enhanced.

The Switch is a bad mobile system because it is too large and too big and the battery time is a joke. It is also a bad home console because it cannot even render Wii-U ports in 1080p and good modern graphics. All ports will look ugly and people will buy the cheaper and faster, better looking 4K PS4 version and that is a problem, unless they release a mobile Switch mini with a battery that lasts at least 6 hours.

Why can't Nintendo make good and competitive hardware anymore, even the Gamecube had more power and better graphics than the PS2.

It isn't really hate then is it? I mean I'm a pretty big critic with the Switch myself and how Ninty support has been acting lately however I personally don't hate the system or anything, I'm just more disappointed with how things are turning out, esp when I got a console with dead pixels, Ninty refused, but luckily the place I bought it from took it back and just gave me a new one. This one has been fine for the most part though other than wiggly joycons.

If anything deserves the hate, it's their ways of "support" rather than the console itself, because it's bound to have a few issues here and there, almost every console day-1 has
By all means yes. It's terrible that they don't have a zero pixel policy... But I don't think the 3DS or the PSVita have that either. It's unfortunately common in the industry with 3 dead pixel policy. I hate it, it's 2017 and TFT screens been standard for like 15 years now. It should been a zero issue today.

Because of the bad sales. People went with Sony because of the superior 3rd party. It has nothing todo with the power in the hardware but the games!
It didn't help the Gamecube with their tiny CDs either. That hurt them as well.

A zero pixel policy would have resulted in a huge loss for Nintendo.. LCD displays were the cheaper option.. but if they took back all the "defective" units in this case? They might have been better off releasing a more premium device.

Yes I know. It's a cost thing, by all means. But don't you agree with something that have been developed for atleast 15 years, should be kind of a non-issue today?

We got to remember it's most likely one of the three chinese screen manufactures makes these. Pretty sure it is.

They did not learn their lessons from Wii-U. But a smaller 3DSXL sized Switch would completely change my opinion. For mobile standards, this system would be powerful and competitive and allow to play almost console-quality games on the go. The current oversized Switch doesn't allow to play on the go because it is too big to transport easily and two hours of battery cannot be considered as mobile at all.

They should have used 2015 model LED panels from Samsung or Toshiba..? Hm. Who knows.

Soon enough when the power draw is nowhere near as much.

Two hours? Where do you get your stats from? I can easy get out 3 hours from Zelda, playing with everything on. Other games that are lighter on the system gets a lot more out of it.

I would think it's a CSOT, Brilliant-LCD or BOE. None of these are that expensive if I remember correct. Philips use them in their TVs for example. Samsung as well, well at least used too(?) If you buy a monitor or TV from Samsung. Make sure it ends with an S, else it's not their own display in it.

I think people are too sensitive to handle criticism against things they like. They automatically claim that it's hate towards the brand/product/franchise they love. People need to stop caring what other people think about the Switch. If I say the switch is a bad move for Nintendo and you flame me because of an opinion then shame on you. If I start spreading crap about the switch and not expect backlash from it then shame on me.

(on a side note: if Nintendo made a non handheld console that was more powerful than the Xbox One S, PS4 Pro I would have bought that console. I think there would have been a huge uproar on how Nintendo is going to be the king of gaming consoles again. Unfortunately Nintendo doesn't think that way and I feel they ignored the fans to do things thier own way.)

Again, the main issue isn't criticism.. it's the flat out hatred seething from some people.

That's not true. You don't know Nintendo's history if you think that.
Examples?

I'll give you the analog stick. Motion controls and dual screens were not good ideas.

The Nintendo Switch is not a new idea. It's essentially a PSP Go with current tech.
Not good ideas? Lol then why did the 360 and ps3 both immediately copy the motion controls lolol. The dual screen I guess is subjective, but it was actually more than just the dual screen it was the touch screen as well, which was amazing at the time. Easy to say its not a good idea in 2017.

How are the PSP and Switch alike at all?

Bollucks, 360 doesn't even have motion controls.
I don't know where you get your facts from but you're full of shite.

Most people just usually provide examples for their arguments, but I guess we should all just take your word for it then.
If you consider yourself a Nintendo follower/fan and don't even know their past console hardware then you can't make too many good arguments.

It doesn't matter if they copied motion controls. I phrased it wrong. Motion controls were a good idea in the sense that they got people's attention for a short time, but they didn't keep people's attention or improve gaming. I guess I'm trying to say that they didn't have a positive lasting impact.

The PSP Go, not the regular PSP, had a dock that you could use to hook it up to a TV and it had bluetooth to connect with a PS3 controller. Almost exactly the same idea as the Switch. Switch is just using newer tech.
