Hmm - has none of my 'friends' got this stationary... they usually send it to everyone they know (in the UK, we seem to miss out on these 'new' stationary - unless we get them sent to us by friends)

The Japanese Art Academy one, is exclusively for Japanese 3DS's.
This means, you can see it on an European 3DS, but you can't save it.

Of course you can save it. I had the Japanese one myself until someone sent me the international stationary.
As far as I have tried it, the letterbox will always save the last one you recieved. Not sure about that part though.

No, I've got the Japanese one from Nikki, then a few people from GBATemp and DSHack.org sent me an English one, and I've still got the Japanese one, but the English one didn't save.
