Can't you get banned for this if you're using it online?

I've been playing online with some friends. Nothing happened to us, nor a lot of people who plays it online.

The entire thing runs from Gecko OS. All you need is Gecko OS and the codeset.

Zaiga, where do you live by the way in Canada?

Had a problem with my Wii and using the wireless sensor bar, so I wasn't able to install it yet, I just got another game working and everything so I'm going to work on getting this up tomorrow evening~

Already got most of it on my PC, just have to move it over to my SD card.

Is the Gecko OS on the IRC the "official" Brawl Gecko or Gecko 2.0, or is that still being worked on (any news?)

Edit: Why? Hoping for some friendlies? XD

You read my mind lol. Offline play is still better than online.

It's a Geckos specifically for Brawl. It's still in beta but we're gonna come out with an official one soon.

Cool. I am really enjoying the official beta4, my brain cant even imagine what is to come in beta5 and beyond, but am sure it will be great.

Does this new codeset go over the 256 lines limit?

Edit: Also, could you explain to me what SD Launcher codes do? And what is the difference between the offline and online versions?

I honestly haven't been keeping up with the updates. I've been lazy to update and try the new method of launching the codes. It's best that you go in IRC to ask 'cause I'm unsure myself.

Difference between offline and online version though is the handicapped buffer part. One's for online, the other for offline.

We have a player specific buffer system now!! It's awesome.

For those who are confused what a buffer system is, let me explain. In original Brawl, we have a buffer system of 10. Have you ever noticed that when you mash a button, the character does some things you don't want to do? Or maybe, accidental deaths because you got pushed of the stage but your character performed an action that delayed your upB?

It's the effect of the buffer system. It basically delays your input. For example, try short hopping with Falco. Mash the B button until you land. Normally, you'd get a double laser short hop, but because you mashed it, you get a third one coming out the moment you land even if you didn't press B upon landing.

But now, we have it play specific. So any person can play with which ever preference is preferred. I'm more of a technical and precise person, so I love the lowest buffer available. I'd play with buffer 0 to 2. Low buffers make things harder to do such as Bowser's Claw Hop, Falco's instant Aerial Phantism, Mario's short hop double uAir, and Marth's short hop double fAir. Those are all examples of what lower buff system affects. But hey, you get better practice and timing. Your control is much more tight, but your character is much more accurate.

Either way, this is beneficial for everyone. Including new comers. Hope you enjoy this new buffer system by the Brawl+ team.

Okay, just a quick update in case some people are confuse.

1. We use regular Geckos again. So, forget any snapshot method/Brawl Geckos.
2. We have a double .gct method which probably has 6000 - 13,000 lines for codes. How awesome is that?

Here is what you do:

1. Place the SD Loader code in the /codes/ folder of your SD card. (the smaller .gct file. You can download it here: http://almas.sitesled.com/Codeset/RSBE01.gct )

2. Place the Codeset GCT in the /private/wii/APP/RSBE/pf folder of your SD card. Create the folders if they don't exist. download it here: http://almas.sitesled.com/Codeset/Offline/RSBE01.gct

If anyone has any questions, ask away.

Edit: In the near future, we're going to release a beta codeset which has other character tweaks and a codeset that has character texture hacks already implemented. All you need to do is download your choice of texture hacks and you're set.
