Another Super Robot Wars game...but we're going to school. Game translates to "Super Robot Wars Academy".

“When you’re playing [Super Robot Wars] by yourself, there needs to be a story to play through. However, the SRW battle system here is different from usual, and we’ve included robots from more series in order in order to expand the range of battle options available to the player. That makes crafting a coherent story more difficult, so we decided to take it in a completely different direction.” - Namco Bandai producer Takanobu Terada

FUCK YES. I love Banpresto, period. Although I wish it would put in Gunbuster like it did in Alpha 3 and Alpha (I think), although I can't complain.

And let's hope they don't make Zeorymer broken as they did in the past.

Judging from the animated frames, it looks like it's a traditional SRW. Also, I doubt they could really pull off anything like Endless Frontier with mechas from actual anime series.

Great news indeed. But, it makes me sad they didnt include tekkaman blade. They did put detonator orgun so thats cool i guess.

edit: from what i could gather from wikipedia, this is going to be an adventure game and its going to be released in fall this year

It's basically all the units from J, W, and K.
Except for a distinct lack of Tekkaman Blade...which makes me sad.

From what I gather it's...well, think Yu-Gi-Oh/Pokemon.
It's set in a time where the need of a school to train robot pilots exists.
All the series you see will be represented by virtual data in the game.
So...no story or character interactions between the various series unfortunately.
Luckily, most of the westerners who'll play can't read Japanese anyway so it'll be no big deal for them, haha.
