I started playing Super Mario Sunshine recently, and I've noticed that whenever I use the turbo nozzle while in water (or whenever I ride a blooper in Ricco Harbor) the game makes this loud scratching sound that doesn't go away until you stop using the nozzle.
I thought it was just my game disc being scratched or something, but this doesn't happen at all on my GameCube.
I come here because this community knows a whole bunch about the inner workings of the Wii, and I'd like to know what could possibly be causing this.
I have homebrew enabled, could that be it?
I have no idea what sort of cIOS I have installed, but I do have cMIOS installed for the GameCube backup launcher, if that helps.
On a related note, the glitch seemed to go away one day, only to come back the next.
