No, Default settings. PSPGo and PSP3000 (and the others) all have the same specs, so performance should be identicle. I used a PSPGo though, for reference.

I got to the Geno cutscenes last night, the world map appeared just fine to me. Not only that, I've noticed no problems whatsoever with the emulator, minus a couple of very very minor (~55FPS lowest) slowdowns with 0 frameskip.
Are you use you're using the correct version? Again, I am using SNES9x Euphoria R5 Beta 3, NOT SNES9x Euphoria Beta 3, or SNES9x Euphoria R3.

Yeah, definitely using Euphoria R5 Beta 3, and I have that strange world map blackness bug... But the latest 0.42 TYL mecm mentioned by Rydian seems to be working fine, and pretty decent speed too, so I guess I'll stick to that one.

Odd, default settings worked fine for me. I'll tinker with the settings more, see if I can find out what might cause that, makes me curious.

Oh yeah, I'm meaning to ask, is there any SNES emulator for the PSP that supports "bilinear" format or something like that since some fan-translated ROMs the font they used appeared blurry on the PSP but it appeared fine on PC emu cause the PC version supports this bi-linear thingy... I'm trying to play "Hihou no Rudra" but the font is really hard to read.

You should make a new thread about that, this thread is about Mario RPG at the best speed possible.

"Default settings" for many emulators are actually "The settings the person who zipped up the download I got was using". :P

True. I'd link to the site with the version that works 100% in Mario RPG that I use, but I really don't know if it's allowed or not. :(

I got the latest Euphoria, and it works well. Only problem is the sound is a little slower than it should be--everything else runs correctly. If I turn on Turbo (Start+L) the music goes about the right speed but everything else is (obviously) turboed. Maybe this is because I have a PSP 1000?

Ah yes, I guess I should but I thought it wasn't all that necessary since we're talking about Mario and PSP emulators as well, lol. Thanks for the head up though.

The sound is slightly off on mine too, but not enough to really complain about imo. But the PSP 1000 and PSPGo (and 2000, 3000) have the same specs, so it shouldn't make any difference.

I thought the PSP1000 had 32MB of RAM while all the others had 64...wouldn't that make a difference?

I didn't know of that. It doesn't seem like it would, since snes games could be perfectly emulated on my old computer with 16mb of ram.

SNES has 128KB of RAM, program ROMs are a few megs at the largest (and can be read dynamically if needed), the emulator's resource usage wouldn't make a difference there given the two specs.

It's likely the settings. These emulators include multiple rendering schemes and the various graphical hacks can have big impacts.
