Gaming Super Mario Bros 2 fault ?

Has anyone played Super Mario Bros 2 yet ?
In world 1-3 Raccoon Mario is unable to stay flying when holding the jump button so the middle coin can't be reached.
Or is there another way of making raccoon mario fly ?
Not sure if it is rom related or something else ?
Is there any other defects like this in the game.

I am using Gateway.

I have the game(from eshop)and you just hold the jump button to fly. I'm pretty sure it has to do with the rom.

I am using Gateway.

If it's the NES version of Super Mario Bros. 3 (which seems to be what you're describing; Super Mario Bros. 2 didn't have the Super Leaf power-up! xD), then you'll have to TAP the Jump button to gain altitude when you're Raccoon Mario or Tanooki Mario.

Actually, as far as I know, that's how it is in all versions of Super Mario Bros. 3. ¯\(º_O)/¯ Either way, I hope that helps!

I'm pretty sure this guy means New Super Mario Bros. 2, because in level 1-3 you get the leaf power up and you need to fly to get the middle coin.

With the original cartridge, I managed to get every single coin in that level; so I'm pretty sure there is a fault within your ROM LOL.
