All that aside though, the main concern I have is the quality of the translation. Believe me I know how much effort a translation requires, and I appreciate the amount of work the translators put into this, so there's no easy way to say this... there are just too many errors. When lines like this:

????????????????? ("Win the battle without using summon skills!")are translated as:
QUOTESummons Galore!
Win using Summons Magic!

then unfortunately we have to start over.

Granted the ‘-zu’ suffix isn’t used that much and is a iffy, but there’s no excuse for the first one.

Anyway I acknowledge our translation obviously wasn't up to professional, or even semi-professional standards, so I hope someone else can do a better job.

And I understand to what degree a localisation can be done... We didn't keep any suffixes in, but we didn't really have the experience to pull it off that well :/

He's kinda like santa claus, dropping down everyone's chimney leaving nice big presents for them.

I prefer imagining him in a silly-frilly dress with a magical wand and lots of fairy glitter tho..... uhm, hopefully darth won't kill me now.

I was more or less thinking of those little child ghosts with creepy bowl head haircuts that bring good luck to households.

At this point, we need a dedicated translator. Currently, Easton West is taking extra time to do a little work on this game when he is not working on SaGa 2.

If anyone is interested in seeing this game in English and can properly translate Japanese, please consider jumping on board. I've started work on the area maps (there are a ton of them), but we can only do so much without a dedicated translator.

My hope is to get a small team together, like we have for SaGa 2, and work from there. Yes, that means that this project is no longer semi-open. There are two reasons behind this. Using a small team means that communication is better and it means more dedication to the project.

The problem with doing open is that people will delete stuff and put in a bunch of junk just for some kicks. The problem with doing semi-open is that we get a bunch of people saying they want to contribute, but then two months goes by and none of them have even touched any of it.

do you think you'd be able to find more translators on manga and anime translation forums? I'm sure there are a bunch of them there that would have the time and dedication and definitely the experience to do this kind of work, but just don't happen to frequent hacking sites.

you can post fake torrent with a comment to your liking at tokyotosho
this site has many ppl downloading through torrents...
and post a request at 4chan most of them are a bunch of As*es but some have experience translating manga/anime/hentai.

btw: you can ask my friend out there.. her name is akari212 on youtube, she has atleast completed the script for phara's path.

but the menus and other things are remain untranslated. theres a little chance that she can give the script for you but worth to try than nothing.

ill post a sample video for phara's path later, while im still figuring out how to record ds gameplay.

edit:

anyway, did you manage to fit NPC names on to those windows..like the word "Boy", "Villager", etc ... the word of it wrote on single character.. which result to out of border characters (which is really annoying imo)... the main issue here that the sprites or graphics is designed only in japanese characters.. someone edit those so it can be fit.

because on akari's english translated script, the NPC names remains untranslated, because its really bother to work on it.
