didn't FAST upload a partial english trans?
Yes, also there was an "English test" language file released by angeleden which has some things translated, I am using this one right now but FAST did a pretty good job!
:3 but I'll still stick with the korean version

That's only natural, it's in your native language, even though I'd prefer an English version over Greek

It's not 100% complete, but about 90%. (the 10% are stuff I've never used nor seen before, so I bet you won't use them either.

Cool thanks

so how is it
Pretty good, as you said almost everything is translated

Oh btw I've looked into avalon code.
There are 2 NFTR font files. One of the font is 7x7 (the grid only, but the actual font is 5x5)
The other font is 9x9, and supports single byte ASCII.
From what I see, the text seems to be compressed. (can't find any text)
face.mass, map.mass, present.mass, and scenario_message.mass are 4 large files that I'm not sure of, but I THINK they contain more files. (just a guess, by the size and the "mass" extension. More files also have the mass extension)
utility.bin contains MANY lz77 compressed files inside. (I'm 90% sure they are all graphics, by the ncg/ncl/nsc etc extentions)

So from what I see, I think the text is compressed in the scenario_message.mass file (but after a second look, probably not). I can't locate any other MAIN graphics outside the utility.bin.

I haven't looked into the ROM more carefully yet but I think noitora will have a hard time figuring things out if he actually does a menu trans

Those mass files sure are a big package consisting of smaller files also why should I do a menu translation?

So...that patch Darth put on the 2nd post on the first page, how much does that translate of the game :wtf:, just curious. Was thinking about trying this game out
It's not a patch, it's a utility to edit the text.

That must be rough. Productive I'm sure but hard to balance with daily life

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.
