I agree with Hisiru. The game has a lot to offer and you shouldn't let the graphics bum you out. I actually think it's a beautiful game. My main gripe is, so far, the dungeon designs are very weaq. But I'm hoping they become more interesting.

I have never played a Suikoden game before this, even though I have wanted to, I just wanted to say that, I love this game. The graphics are fantastic, the story is awesome, most of the characters are well developed (you try and develop background stories for 108+ characters). The only fault I can find in this game is the difficulty, it is too easy until the final boss, then it is devestatingly, nope not hard, cheap. Personally, this is my favorite original DS game.
BTW TC, there is no way to be objective when stating your opinion. You cannot prove to me that this game is bad, nor can I prove to you that this game is awesome. Opinion is completely subjective, which is why we all disagree at one point or another.

BTW , this time I agree with you , but not in the term of graphics but in the term of difficulty . Unlike other genres graphics is not what RPG gamer will care much about it , but Tierkries is way too easy . It's not funny at all if you could just button smashing and everything is done ...

The problem here is people think this game should have follow the formula or the other suikoden. There is a reason is not call 6...is suppose to be different cause they wanted to make it like this. Just like they did with Suikoden Tactics which is different, before that the Suikoden Card game.
The card game and this suikoden are more like 'spin-off' from the original and reason they play differently too. I did enjoy the game with that mentality and is not a bad game actually.
Now when Suikoden 6 comes out I expected it to follow the formula of regular Suikoden games and hopefully add new interesting things. As for me IV is the worst suikoden in my opinion (and sales show it. II build foundation, III enjoy it and also build, IV enjoy it and destory it, then V was left to scrap in term of sales. II and III reach 300,000 sales (with III sales being hire than II) IV reach 300,000 to but not more than III and then V went down to 150,000 sales. So defently IV brought down the fame of the franchise based on sales. Still I really want 6 to be announce.

Wait what? The scenery in Suikoden Tierkreis is the best ive seen in ANY DS game so far... The 3D is bullcrap in the DS anyway so dont mind them. The effects could have done a little working. But imo this is the 2 best looking suikoden game. Suikoden 2 winning the big bowl

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.+1 -

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.+1 -

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
