The 2.5" 4TB/5TB HDD's mentioned previously also fit in PS4 Pro's as well. It requires opening the PS4 Pro and voiding the warranty, and leaves a slight bump that prevents the hdd cover in the back from snapping in place. However, that is a minor sacrifice to make for internal HDD space.

I have a launch PS4 as well...not sure what you mean by "sata 3.5""...do you mean a 2.5" internal SATA drive?

You CAN fit a 3TB+ 2.5" SATA drive inside your phat PS4, but it will require some physical modification to the drive cage as any drive 3TB and above are thicker than the typical internal drive the PS4 comes installed with. This also covers the 5TB 2.5" drive I mentioned in my post.

when i mentioned 3.5" Sata I was refferring to the hdd size limit, not the physicall size. I read that launch fat PS4's only can support 2TB and below. However, this was established at 4.05 ofw. I have 4.55 fw installed, so it may support 8TB

For US? Try Gamestop and Target, I found several 4.55 in those stores near my area.

S01 code is the same as MC9 code

It can’t be the same or else you wouldn’t have got a higher version. Please research the information I have provided and also on reddit. This is direct information from others and myself who have successful models on or below 4.55.

No doubt, gusee we all have a different system. I scored a 3.70 and a 4.55 so im either really lucky or am on to something. Like you, I am just trying to help these fine folks here the console they are looking for. Keep up the good work friend

According the the detailles of that PS4 it supposes to be an old one 2016/2017 before Amazon Zero down game release (you can return it back and request a new one like i did and tel them you look for serial 74xxx )

check The firmware before you return it back who knows maybe the serial at the box is not the same as the console

try to request for serial 73XXX and down

I checked, firmware is 4.70 with datecode 7C, that means manufactured between july and september 2017.
Serial on the console matched the box.

There is an other tip PS4PRO old ones do 3.3KG as shown in the description, New PS4PRO do only 3KG

The information I have posted on page 52 is proved to be correct by another person in the UK. Copy of comment from reddit:

"Just bought in the UK today.

This should be on a low firmware. Sealed and new PS4 Slim. I remember this coming with either 4.07 or lower.
