Hacking Stuck in Pokemon Sun

Yea, I can also run .cia files from SD card, saves, i can also take pictures as well (albeit from another camera app) its just the standard camera app that is wonky and idk what to do about it.

btw you can write a file on PC to your SD card? if not, your SD card already chip locked.
Yes I can. Its not chip locked. Its fully accessible

Update* After i use pokefinder I press the home button and it sends me to the home screen. Then I close Pokemon Sun and it closes and then reboots. Still get the sd card error from pokefinder

So i'm looking to find a camera app.cia (original one) and then maybe ill delete the one on my 3ds from bigblue and reinstall (not sure if this is even possible lol)

Well good luck m8. This issue isn't in the camera tho. You might be able to bypass this issue but I won't. Anybody who's reading this I'd appreciate it if you could help us out. Keep in mind I have Ninjhax on my SD card (Homebrew starter kit)

This won't work if you don't have a CFW or if Pokemon doesn't load the next flag of events without finishing the next one but you might wanna try using the "Walk through walls" cheatcode and skip the guy who teaches you about the camera, and see if the next events triggers (The next one should be Lillie next to the clothes shop). Otherwise, feel free to send your save file to me or somebody else and we can save you past the camera tutorial.

Noob question here, how do you extract save data from a .cia file again? Thanks

Is your SD Card SDXC (>=64 Gb)? If so try formatting the SDCard with GUIFormat (but be sure to have a backup of the SD if you're going to do it)

Try this:
1.-Turn on your 3DS (my guess is that you have A9LH)
2.-Extract your 3DS' SD Card (that will keep your 3DS on if you have A9LH)
3.-Connect your SD Card to your computer and make a backup of its contents somewhere safe
4.-Format your SD Card (be sure to format it to FAT32 and have a cluster size of 64Kb)
5.-Connect your now empty SD Card to your 3DS, and accept the message that appears (I don't remember what it says)
(5.1.-Try to make a photo using the 3DS back cameras)
6.-Disconnect your SD Card from your 3DS and connect it to your computer
7.-Copy the contents from your SD Card backup folder to the SD Card, overwrite if prompt
8.-Connect the SD Card back to the 3DS
9.-Reset your 3DS
I hope this fixes your problem, good luck :)

Sounds like bad SD cards or some kind of lock. I had no problem playing through Sun, and I'm using a physical copy (yes I purchased a game, crazy right?)of moon and I've had no issues.

YES I managed to fix the problem!!!

To Dead_Red: What I did was put a clean SD card into the 3ds and let it create the system management files, then I transferred the new files to my SD card with the emunand and started up pokemon sun and that fixed the issue. Hope it helps you too!
