Save File Corruption For Pokemon Ultra Sun

I have a save file of Pokemon Ultra Sun from before I modded my 3ds and I'm not using a cartridge. This save file worked before i modded the 3ds which was a few months ago. I used checkpoint to use that save file again but now it says corrupted. I tried putting it through pkhex and it doesn't want to open. Anything I can do or is it over for that save file ?

More details are needed. If this save file is from before you modded your 3DS, then how did you get it without using Checkpoint?

My bad, i forgot to mention that i was able to get my save back because before i modded my 3ds, I copied everything to a separate folder. Hopefully that can answer your question.

What you you mean by "copied everything"? What did you copy? After you copied it to a "separate folder", did you copy it back again? This is very unclear.
