ROM Hack Stuck and nl one seems to be able to help me - arm9loaderhax installed can't update 3DS

Section IV - Restoring the System
Skipped step 1 because restored emunand.
Step 2 didn't apply to me.
Step 3 update 3DS doesn't work always get error even after dns to auto.
I seem to be stuck on 10.3.0-28E.

Any help would be appreciated...

CTRNAND doesnt mess with the FIRM nor user data.

Did you at one point put in DNS settings to block updates? Maybe double check that.

Just a quick question after doing the ctrtransfer do I need to redo arm9loaderhax? And How about the ticket restore?

OK just did the stuff in you link but now I have zero content on my 3ds :/ not even sure if now safe to update it looks revert to stock to me.

OK so I'm now retrying the update progress bar still stuck on zero and again gives an error. I'm out of ideas here

Wait omg could it be because I blocked some ports for my wiiu In my router???

Ok not sure you can help me out here. So all worked out fine for one 3DS but now doing/did another one.

The only difference I did with this one is after I restored emunand I directly updated it to the latest firmware trough system menu. But now It won't install .cia's always get stuck.

But that just gives an error. So is there no way to get back to 9.2.0 after system update?

Because what fixed my other 3DS seems to be restoring emunand then do the 9.2.0 ctr transfer and then update.
But with this 3DS is restored emunand and then immediately updated the 3DS and cia won't install and cant use ctr transfer.

Got around the error.

Succeeded in going back to 9.2.0 and then updating + restoring tickets.

The bad part is it didn't fix the problem. It still won't install big .cia files without hanging trough fbi.

My other O3DSXL with same sd card that had the same problem was fixed in this way.


So yeah I'm out of ideas :/

Is it safe to just copy everything from the SD to PC and just dragging it to a new SD card???

EDIT: clarify the other 3DS that now works is using the same brand of sd not the same card. And had the same issue before I used 9.2.0 ctrtransfer.

yeah, just pass over the files with the console turned off
