Hardware Strange Wii Problem

Hi folks,

got a wii here, when i put the power on it, red light come up,
when i try to push it on, the green light come up for about 3 sec, then the light goes out, no red or green light is blinking.
when i remove the power and put it in, the red light show up.
olso try to start the wii up witout the drive, same problem,

anyone have a idea?

Could be a bad power supply. It may be giving enough electricity to power the LED and begin the powering process and then simply "starving" after getting to a certain point.

Could also be a mainboard problem... but it'd be better (cheaper) to try the power supply first.
