I think I'd also need an extra Wiimote and nunchuk as Mario Party isn't best played one-player.

I read on newzbin comments of this game that the disk has an update on and should not be ran on a PAL console as it will Brick ya Wii.

Anyone tried the game in a PAL wii yet and got this update?

I think the updates only run if ur wii isnt fully updated when u pop the disk in

Aye mate 2.2E is most up to date...all that happens is the game connects to the net, works out if your up to date and away u go...it bricks if ur not up to date as it will go ahead with the next update of the region of the game not ur wii

I know some people have sed no no no, but Wiki seems to think its ok on SOME motherboard types

I have firmware version 2.2E and Mario Party 8 still want to update my Wii.

I haven't try to update it, because I eject the disc before I click on "OK" button.

it goes into the update mode...it connects to the net then say's 'updating' then it will soon come up with a message that you are up todate

its a nervous few moments, i was sh**ting myself when i 1st saw mario paper do the whole update thing

all went fine tho.

for anyone that has got this working and played it, is it actaully any good, The last few Party games on the Gamecube sucked hard, so I'm hoping this is a return to the earlier Party games
