Ok there are 3 possiblities.
1. Apple crashes and burns
2. Apple gets worse then it already is
3. iProducts actually become good

Hoping for 1, 3 would never happen and 2 is most likely...
Or the unseen 4th option: Apple continues as normal after a slight Stock drop.

Honestly, other than some slight effects on the stock price I don't see this making much difference to the company as a whole. This guy's been managing Apple during Jobs' long absences and doing fine. I can't see him shaking up the company a lot when its raking in the dough as it is.
Well option 4 is no fun

Well his resignation affected the stock noticeably in the aftermarket/premarket, but today at this time it has only dropped 1% in value. So the investors are taking it pretty well so far, probably because he is remaining with the board.

Good riddance, Mr. Jobs. I never particularly take well to people who try to whitewash oppressive conditions at certain iPad plants in Chengdu. That having been said, I'm sure your successor is hardly an angel, either.
