Just found out: steam is having another sale coming up. Brace your wallets, everyone:

fall_logo_english.png

This first day, there are already discounts of -50% to -80% on quality titles like sleeping dogs, skyrim, left 4 dead 2 or bioshock infinite, and there are flash sales every 8 hours.

So..make sure to check out the steam store often... :)

EDIT: apparently, the name of the sale may vary depending on region (thus far, it's called either spring or fall/autumn). So...the name of the sale may vary. :)

Already bought 400 Days DLC and Terraria for under $5 total. Considering the Orange Box for only $10, since I have never beaten the Half-Life games, but I may pass on it to see if it gets cheaper later in the sale.

Nabbed Mutant Mudds for £3.49, i'd been meaning to make the purchase earlier but only just got round to it, the 50% off was a bonus.

Ehhh. I was interested in Terraria, but I would probably never play it.
Wanted AVGN adventures but after the reviews, I think it's still too high in price.

One day down...

Right on.
I have such a love/hate relationship with that game. On one hand, it's Ys so it's pretty fun to play. On the other hand, it is ridiculously difficult. I mean, damn, if you've played Ys 7, this game is definitely a few steps backwards in that Ys 7 was very accessible without mastery. Oath in Felghana, on the other hand, brought out the rage in me back when I owned a functional PSP.

On that note, I may buy this game during the sale because I'm masochistic in my gaming.

There's even a patch which adds the voice acting from the PSP version, which is pretty dope.

I bit the bullet. I decided to buy Skyrim (none of that DLC crap). I had it on PS3 and I loved it. And I don't know how well my computer will handle it, but eh. Why not. I already have Morrowind, Oblivion and now Skyrim. Can anybody tell me what the experience will be like with the game before I install it?

Also using a nVidia 450GTS (which I'm pretty sure is better than my 9800 GT)

What's your display resolution at? You should be able to play the game fine on vanilla settings, and I'm sure there's some optimization mods out by now that would help out any straggling performance issues. I had a friend play skyrim on a dual core at 2.1 without an issue. The worst culprit will be your graphics card, but as long as you're not at a huge resolution and you are moderate with your graphic settings, you should be golden.

I personally bought Borderlands 2 GOTY and State of Decay. And I also gifted Deadly Premonition to a friend. That's enough, won't buy anything else.

Now that's a game i've been thinking about purchasing, it looks good & has good reviews, i'll wait it out to see if it ends up in the flash sales.

Wow me waiting to make a purchase, there's hope for me yet

I have picked up Gone Home (during the $5 flash sale) and Trine for $1 as an early christmas present. I'm definitely considering Fallout 2, Anna [Extended Edition] and a few others, but I'm going to see what the next few days bring. :)
