sprite transparency

    me and a friend are working on a vertical shooter and i need to know how to do some transparency for like SFX and the fire out the back of the ship...hes saying u cant do transparency like that but ive played many DS games with transparency

    i mean i know HOW to do it with photshop, but like how do we get it in game an sure thats its gonna be completely transparent without showing a little bit of magenta?

    use dropper right click ur background(the magenta) thn go colors....set palette transparency n choose set transparency value to current background color....done

    you have to use the tool to convert to a ds sprite, and you can set transparency there. You should ask this kind of question on a gamedeving forum not here -.-
