Could a mod rename the topic title to "Spirit Photo" since that's the real name of this game, a spin-off of Fatal Frame, at first I wasreally excited so searched around different sites....not interested in it at all now.

Ya, it's a spinoff. It could turn out to be a good game, we'll see.

I'm not into horror titles, but this looks awesome, and it totally makes sense. Here's hoping we see it in the West.
Pfffft. Why would we see it here? It's a good game series.

Wellll, we did get Fire Emblem, no?

Though I suppose Fatal Frame and Fire Emblem aren't on the same wave length, especially considering Fire Emblem is a Nintendo exclusive series.

But still.

Perfect title for the Perfect handheld, just like you were using the camera obscura.

I had made a little project a while ago that judges distances by using 2 cameras side by side.

If Nintendo were to do the same thing, they could create an AR game that reacts to your surroundings and not need the AR cards. you could have ghosts pop out of the walls or out of a table rather like it would currently look like on Face Raiders.

Will need a wrist strap to be included with the game though, very scary games = dropped/broken handhelds

This will be one of the best implementations of AR cards I've come across.

The Fatal Frame series is one of the best horror series I've ever played. Couple this will AR cards and some serious shit will be soiling our pants.

me too, although i imagined it not as an augmented reality title though. AR could work, but requiring an AR Notebook pretty much limits the AR features to that of AR Archery. :/ As such, with the title being tied down to maybe a couple of AR patterns, the AR feature might very well be just an extended mini game.

Gyro would've been so much better, giving the camera obscura solid visuals as background (supplied by the game), instead of gnarly grainy tabletops (supplied by the 3DS stereo camera).
you are forgetting that face raiders is not augmented reality also and does not require the card to display the faces in your room it uses the motion thingy to tell where you are looking based on how much in any direction it moves from when you start....the notebook could be used as a side type thing....
