Hello again!

A few weeks ago, I began working a small game with the goal of getting my feet wet in GBA homebrew development, as well as brush up on my C++ skills. After some testing and some feedback, I am now ready to release my game, Speed Rally!.
I apologize if the video quality of the gameplay is lackluster. This is my first time recording gameplay footage for a GBA game.

For starters, it is meant to be a remake of Auto Race, which was an old electronic game made by Mattel in 1976. The goal of the game is the complete 4 laps in the fastest time possible before you reach 99 seconds. The same works for Speed Rally!. There are going to be obvious differences such as:

  • Better graphics than the original game
  • Having a menu (duh!)
  • Music (If you are a sports game fan, you should recognize it)
I was originally going to make another version of this game for the original Game Boy, which I would have sold. However, I came to my senses, and decided that there are better game ideas for the GBA that can be sold for profit in the future. Due to the way the game plays, it is extraordinarily short, and is meant to be nothing more than a small time waster for beating an old score.
