So will it be based on 3.4 or 3.2?

used to be 3.2 back in the day, still have that work laying around.

My most recent work is based on 3.4. Everything is incorporated including a small patch to remove the TPhack checks so twilight hack can be installed freely again (it wont be deleted on boot either anymore). Lots of surprises. Im a fan of 3.4 because its up to date and the SD card copying etc are MUCH faster. You can consider it a homebrew safe 3.4 :]

So are you and DD going to be releasing updates together, or just releasing as you finish and combinig it later?

We are actually pooling everything together... incorporating our respective work is amazingly simple thanks to the way fors is doing things. So it will all come out together.

Higer than gamma, as games are not forced to use a certain ios.

@Do you have any vision on what the final customized system menu will look like? Going the black route as one would guess from the alpha? Maybe a some sort of a mockup?

Im not sure, im going to let digity run wild with the cosmetics so if you have any questions regarding that i would contact him over it. At the moment it would be difficult to make "on the fly" visual changes, as in, once a sym (system menu for those who dont know the acronym) is already installed until I lay some difficult groundwork.

An idea springs to mind like possibly adding Theme support to Dashboard to parse theme files created by users (to be determined) and install them to a selected sym (you can have multiple system menu's installed and managed with Dashboard).

I dunno, just a thought....i'll see what digs wants to do

what about softmii then? this is a far better version of it

updating to 3.4 will be like having a fresh system again too (i read here). so i take it there'll be a whole new installation process at the ready? (surely there'll be guides anyways lol)

also, since you're working on v3.4 what happens if nintendo decides its time to bring out 3.5 or 4.0 update? that means theres gonna have to be like a downgrader which includes 3.4 does it?

themes seem like a cool idea on the agenda, but dont anticipate it for a while. There are more important things at the moment to tackle.

softmii uses the same method for backups that this probably will. I'd guess this will also have a new installation method

Depends on the update, but that is probably what will happen

What I'd like it for is to edit the official one to make it different from others, wwithout all the hard work of doing aeverything

by my understanding it will be a single pack or kind of an update that will make all the changes
it will be the shizzel
and the updates will be sent by wifi from fors, the system will not be affected by nintendo's updates
