Im finding this a bit of a minefield. I have the R4 - SDHC Upgrade cart and my daughter updated to 1.4e without realising the problem it would cause. After scouring the net for 3 days, there seems to be many conflicting reports on whether a new Gold flash cart is required or whether software is being released to update the "red" we have already. Can anyone help as to where we are at the minute. Thanks

on your website it says the r4i supports the dsi update 1.4e but it doesant because i have the latest dsi update and update 1.09b for my r4i so are you not lieing?

Their website does not say they support the DSi 1.4. Perhaps you have confused the R4i-SDHC website with the R4i SDHC website.
EDIT: My mistake, it looks like they are indicating 1.4 compliance with the note "Note: The perfect solution NDSi Host V1.4 upgrade version, 100% support the latest games!" I wonder if they've perhaps jumped the gun on the announcement; no further details are presented on the site.
