Hello, don't flame me I am a newb but I've tried and I don't seem to be having luck googling, maybe I don't understand something.

So I want to play ROM dumps online my understanding is I need legit headers to do so
So I booted OOT3D to run the gateway launcher.
I then backed up my NAND just because and I backed up some games
I then took the.3DS file into the Gateway Rom patcher and exported a .bin file of my header
After that I used no ban no sky selected the latest template i downloaded from sky3ds's page and selected my header bin and selected to patch everything

So I was under the understanding that the template.txt is where diskwiriter gets header information and now it should have my legit header for every game in the template's list.

I then tried writing it with the latest diskwriter and the game plays but because I'm paranoid before going online I backed it up via the Gateway launcher again and compared to header file and the header file does not match the header file.bin that I selected

So is my assumption correct? Am I doing something wrong?
Is there an easier way to do this?
or is there a better way just to test to make sure that the header is the one I want?

thanks

Is any part of the header the same?
Because the chip ID may not be, but as long as the unique cart ID is you'll be fine.
And NoBanSky only patched the uniqueID, not anything else because its not needed.

Also,
When rewriting games to the Sky, you have to make sure to rescroll through your games to make sure that the Sky3DS gets updated with the updated header information.
I'm not sure if that's true.. but I don't see how cycling through your games could hurt.

It's very true. I've had this issue myself where I kept waiting for my save game for Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call to be corrupted from me applying my own header to the rom, but I still kept getting error 002-0123 when I went online. Rescrolled through my games, and it like "updated" it, when I got to the game, my save data wasn't there, and online was working.
