There's a new Skate 2 DLC unlock code available for purchase off the Xbox Live Marketplace which - in somewhat of EA tradition - is more about unlocking content then giving gamers new content. The Time is Money Pack costs a hefty 400 Microsoft points and will "unlock all locations, skaters and gear that can be earned by playing through Skate 2's career and online modes." Lazy gamers love paying for their unlock codes, amiright?

This pack goes against most things a good game experience is about but I doubt that those who purchase them are really going to care about that. This is mostly to appeal to the casual crowd who don't have time or want to put in the effort to unlock everything.

I wonder...
If this code will unlock everything will you get all the achievements at once or can't you ever get them?

I usually play games until I unlock everything and then I stop.. lol

last generation: "Want extra content in your game? Then you gotta be good!"
this generation: "Want extra content in your game? Then you gotta be rich!"

This is pretty sad, really

Ah the old days.
Poeple wanted more levels and harder games.
Arcades thrived and kick everything's ass.

Now its, "can my pet crab play it? If not then I'm not gonna bother" genration.
Ofcourse said crab is imaginary and can never really play a game, but as long as the consumer thinks its real they'll buy the stuff for it. Just don't tell em otherwise.

Ya, pay to cheat crap is rather stupid but you know what really makes this dumb?
The fact you could always download a completed save.
It's free too.
Though I wouldn't be surprised if EA tried to start a lawsuit on save file sharing.
Not that it would work, but thats not the point when you have enough money to sue people for existing in your general area.
