Whether you're into the PSV or not, I would advise you to think twice about it.
The PSP was Sony's 1st portable and really an experiment in the handheld market.
Its been 6 long years and I'm sure Sony has learned from any mistakes they've made in the past and have perfected a High Definition portable gaming system.
I expect the PSV to make the same impact Sony's 2nd console and Microsoft's 2nd consoles had. For some reason their 2nd shot always outshines their 1st.
These days you have to think as gaming devices as more than just gaming devices. And Nintendo really knows how to make their fans happy with software. Me+many others are rarely ever satisfied with Nintendo's hardware and features. There were many times on my NDS where I though "I wish I could do so-and-so" only to find out that the PSP could.
And I see the same pattern with the 3DS. Already the 3DS is going to lack Flash support which is a huge turnoff for me.
Now that handhelds are more like modern consoles than ever before, its becoming harder to predict who will have better or more numerous games. The PSP had only like 80 good games while the DS had 400 good games. I'm just hard to find that same library game for the new 3DS and PSV.
Though it should be noted that Super Mario 3D will be funner than Uncharted. Uncharted games are generally awesome but short. Mario games are imaginative and long. Nintendo's 1st party games will blow Sony's 1st party out of the water, but 3rd party... Who's to say?
At heart I'm a Nintendo fan boy/girl, but once you've logically weighed 3DS against PSV, its hard not to find the PSV to be a beautiful piece of work. Lucky for me, I'm not a kid with a $5 allowance so I'll have both.
And if you're curious about 3DS's 3D... Its more concave like a fish aquarium, its not eye popping like a movie theater 3D video.
