Nintendo 3DS- 250$
PS Vita - 249$

As far as I see the PS Vita has alot of content in it, and its almost as powerful as a PS3.
It clearly has a big future, and will have alot of great games.
So I would recommend the PS Vita.

Get a 3DS, a lot of "big" titles are coming this year; Ocarina Of Time, Mario, Starfox, Mario Kart, Metal Gear Solid, Kid Icarus, Devil Survivor Overclocked and so forth

Remember that by the time PSV is out, there MIGHT be a price drop... MIGHT!

The 3DS isn't as powerful... but the main thing for Nintendo consoles are their first-party software. Third-parties are also developing for the 3DS (MGS, RE are the 'high' ones)... If you like Mario or Pokemon or maybe even zelda (anything else related?) then the 3DS is for you.

The PSV is all about HQ PS3-like games. If you like third-party games a lot more like CoD for example, especially close to PS3 standard, then get the PSV. I must say though, the graphics aren't full PS3 standard (many Sony fanboys claim this), but rather close. Launch a game like Infinity Blade on your iPhone 4 (if you have it) and tell yourself about 29 - 42% better, that's the PSV standard. I've seen it before.

3DS:

- Great lineup, tons of awesome games announced
- 3D. The effect is cool, but it loses it's charm after a while.
- eShop. There's going to be a lot of great titles on the eShop for sure.
- Low battery life

PS Vita:

- Seems to have more ports than the 3DS.
- Can run PS3 games (IIRC)
- Same price as 3DS.
- 3G.

I vote for the 3DS, mainly because I have one, and I dislike (Okay, hate) Sony.

Italic - If you constantly 'play' with the slider, you'll notice a difference in your gameplay. Exception being DOA.

Bold - Not really. Mine on brightness 2 (hey it's bright enough already!), P-S and all wireless on... battery drops by one bar only after 2 hours of gameplay in full 3D.

It could be as powerful as a NASA supercomputer , if no one bothers to take advantage of it, it wont go anywhere.

The PSP has a pretty thin amount of epic games. After being out for years, it has a bunch now...but it took a while.

The power of the device means nothing.

It depends on which games you prefer. Of course not many games have been announced for the Vita, so you can't really be sure. You should also take the time to check out various extras on both consoles, see which console suits your needs, 3DS or PS Vita. (of course you'll probably have to wait for information on the Vita)

A) Um, no? If anything most of the games its getting are unique or being ported elsewhere, or having its own version being developed simultaneously with other versions. Off of Sony's own website, most of the games are brand new for the system. If anything, a few of them are being co-developed for the PS3 (like Wipeout, which is mainly to show off crossplaying).

B) Not really. They showed some demos when the NGP was announced showing it run the same engines and stuff as some PS3 games (like MGS4, for example), but it doesn't support PS3 games.

C) That's true, although 3G version is $50 more.

D) 3G is still on AT&T exclusive but who gives a shit. Just buy a WiFi version.
