Hacking Sent in a switch for repairs, how do i know if it's been patched?

Hi,

Sorta a newb here. I sent my switch in for repairs as it wasn't turning on anymore. I knew it was a gamble that I may receive a patched unit but I figured a working switch was was better than a broken one. My serial number is now XAW9.. how do I find out if my switch has been patched? I can boot into xecuter menu but the OS won't boot since the license.bat doesn't match now. Is it worth buying a new license? Is the fact that I can boot into the xecuter menu re-assuring?
