Producer Takashi Iizuka said Sonic Team has no plans to release more episodes in the future.

"We are looking forward to hearing the feedback from the users for Episode 2, but we are currently not planning to release another episode," he told Digital Spy.

Iizuka added: "We just want to see how the users accept this episode."

Can I say this is a relief? Those running animations man.

This is just like Gamefreak referred to Pokémon Black & White 2 years ago. If the series wouldn't make it fine, then they'd no longer continue them (on videogames)

Marketing purposes, that's all.

Oh. See, the only thing I could have hoped to see in Episode 3 was Knuckles and the Super Emeralds. Poor Knuckles, I don't think he'll ever be part of the main shine again. :(

Was episode I that bad? I never got around to playing it.
do yourself a favor and don't unless you want to be treated to possibly the worst physics ever in a video game :P
Nah, the physics weren't THAT bad!
It's not like the glitches in Sonic '06.
The physics are a little bit less than okay.

"My name is Sonic and I know how to spindash! WHOOPS! I was supposed to go forward more than a few feet when I do that, right? Oh, and watch me walk up walls like Christ walks on water!"

The game can be summed up with a headshake.

I like how when gamers have problems with a japanese game the devs make an effort to change it. Now had this been a western title and gamers complained we would get a whole bunch of articles from sites like IGN bitching about "Gamer Entitlement" and how we need to shut up an quit our bitching because we have no idea what we're talking about.

and also some of nintendo's first party games
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
some of the best selling games on the switch are wii u ports (that are priced way too high
like come on 60 for a game thats a decade old??)

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@ColdBlitz, i forgot breath of the wild released for the Wii u
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
$60 for a game that's a decade old might be unheard of on PC but actually is not uncommon on consoles

  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
especially Nintendo because they only ever lower the price of games when they do a greatest hits/platinum hits/players choice re-release
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@The Real Jdbye, and the HD collections released for 7th gen consoles too
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but they don't seem to have done any of those for the switch yet and maybe never will
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
I think we all forgot breath of the wild released for the wii u tbh

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@The Real Jdbye, tbh the HD collections are more justified since they include more than just 1 game per copy
