So I scratched the top screen of my 3DS by applying too much pressure while installin the Nyko Power Pak +. Now my 3DS finally got PERMANENT scratches.

I'm going to take measure to prevent them in the future. However, I can't return the 3DS because there's no official Nintendo representative in my country and I bought this online, so it would be cheaper for me to buy a replacement screen.

Is this as good as the real one?

unlucky dude

item looks legit and hes got the ratings

id say its safe
long as you got the tools and are confident enough to dismantle it and rebuild

edit:
might even turn out better than the original
i hate LG (the supplier for the 3DS screens i believe)
doesn't say the make of the one your getting but probably better than the LG one, LG seem to RUSH RUSH RUSH gotta produce TV stuff before the better quality ones come out

I didnt think there was any confirmation on who made the screen, I thought I originaly read it was Sharp, but have never seen confirmation.

You may want to look here to see how its taken apart

I have replace DL & DSL screens before, I dont think I would like to have a go at the 3DS by the look of how its put together.

Edit :- Screen teardown http://techon.nikkeibp.co.jp/english/NEWS_...0110302/190006/

Are you sure you scratched the screen? If it's anything like the DS, there's a plastic sheet on top of the screen. If I were you, I'd just wait for replacement housing kits.

+1
is it that bad that you need to preplace it right now? it will only be a year or so and housing kits will pop up everywhere.
