Mind giving me short detail on Tobia Arronax's character/personality? I need them to translate his text and distinguish his lines from another character, which in turn helps me understand the context better.

So far I find him to have this -desu pattern, sometimes serious, sometimes childish sort of mindset.
I have never watch Crossbone series at all. So a little bit of info is much appreciated.

Crossbone is a manga, so you might be able to find scanlations of it (I know they exist, but not where or how much has been translated).

Hey, can anyone give me a quick tutorial on extracting ID's from Overworld? I need to get one to find the original Japanese text for a level I'm editing.

Use CRIPackedFileMaker to extract the contents of the DATAUMD.CPK. That will give you all the ID files. From there you've got to manually go file to file to file and look for the information you're after.

Holy fucking shit. This is great. Just in case, use Wiki for translations
Also please Loran, not Rolan, so Loran - Laura joke will make more sense

Offtopic: I hope anyone translates Super Climax Heroes (Mostly for the opt menu etc)

There's a lot of ways searching files by content. I'm using Total Commander's search, it can search inside files for ANSI, UTF8, Unicode text or HEX values... so you can find files that contain needed text in seconds, even if there like 10000 of them.

Quick question - has anyone tested any levels with numbers in the dialogue? I only ask because I noticed that whenever there's an objective with set number of turns to do it in, the game uses this format for the numbers: $i#. I think it's just a format thing for the number (even though I don't get how $i2 and $i0 somehow both mean 5) that's related to the game's script triggers, but I'd like to be sure, since the levels I'm editing have a bunch of numbers in the dialogue.

I confirmed the $i# in game for C1. It indeed calls up a "number" event that goes down. Say $i0 is set of number from 3 to 1, $si3 is a set of numbers from 5 to 1

I'm now confused.
Is it Lean horse jr or Reinforce jr?

Then, another problem.
Gidraf's test or something. Any idea what is this?

Crashman: I'm not sure about which Gundam universe... but so far the texts involved seems to be Gundam Victory/ Gundam crossbone. There's one key word though... モトラッド宇宙艦隊 Modrad? space fleet. I can't find its name on google/wiki.
ゲドラフのテスト is the Gidraff/gedraffe test.

Cleansweep: Thanks... will just use Reinforce Jr then.

Pique: My father did the same thing. Says it's an unusual yet exciting experience. Welcome back.

Break: Thanks and enjoy I guess. By the way, that demon like women on Ex stage. Is that part of Gundam or just an added army?

ゲドラフのテスト is the Gidraff/gedraffe test.

The first one is from Victory and refers to the Motorad Starfleet.
The 2nd one is the Gedlav test. Literally says Text of Gedlav. The Gedlav is a mobile suit.

AdanK85

Thanks for the warm welcome.
I had a great and exciting time there. (Meet with a lot of soldiers LOL)
Bless you and your family too. ;)

Sorry I didn't reply to you because I was inconvenient at that time.
I will try to arrange my (currently messy) B-1 stage's script before let you help editing.
Are you still available for me or are you busying with AdanK85's work now?

CrashmanX

After some editing to my B-1 stage's script, I will go on to B-2 stage's.
Do you have any suggestion or want any change to my plan?

CrashmanX

agreed, you never want...

AdanK85

whew, you are really...

Threule

Riku

I am a bit busy with AdanK85's stuff, but send your B-1 script to me anyways once you have it sorted out. I'd rather deal with a handful of stages now than getting swamped with them later on.

This is the BBcode to do that:

Thanks, CleanSweep.
I'm trying to use it now.

Ah. I haven't gotten down to them yet then.

Any idea where things like the Terrain types and stat names are located?

Hi, CrashmanX.

I don't know you have already found them or not.
But I found this by accident and I remember that you are looking for it.
So I just come to tell you that they are in eboot.bin in this position..

Hope this helps you somehow.

If your internet speeds are fast enough. Streaming 4k takes alot. I used to only have 20mb sec, and 4k struggled. Now I have 300mb sec and 4k plays fine.

and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
