Hacking SD Classes?

Whats the difference between classes? I was looking to buy a 32gb or 16gb card and i noticed they had classes on them
Class 10
Class 2

Actually, two words : "WRITE speed". Since flash carts only care about read speed the class doesn't matter that much though the higher (better) class cards often have higher read speeds as well.

While SD class is write speed, in general a card with a higher class is one that's built better and that often gives you an idea of the read speeds and latencies.

Most people say a class-4 or 6 will be fine. Most people who have issues with their cards are either using class-2 ones, or cheap/fake ones from ebay/chinese-site/their-phone.
