You have the flicker. Everyone get the backlight after the splash screen by the way including no screen init users

i see.. so to get rid of the so called flicker, i will have to use the 'noscreeninit' a9lh payload update yes?

will it also get rid of this ( when i load a payload e.g d9 or whatever else, it makes my splash image show up in a very quick glitchy way and then goes into the app, same thing happens when i reboot from the app)

If you currently use a splash, you don't need it. It will NOT fix the flicker after the image.

lol i am sure it is all good and normal the so called 'flicker' after the splash XD that will always be there after all it is loading up your homescreen.
i will try out the latest a9lh now, but what is this meaning in the guide "PRESS SELECT!"

finally, do i need the ".dat on the root" if i use the payload to boot into safea9lhinstaller.?

Ok, so i checked the no/screen init thing and the file I used from this thread was the screen init one. I'm using AuRei 5.1.1. I checked with my room pitch black and I could see the screen turning on at the moment of pressing the On button. So I intalled the no screen init version from @astronautlevel and now it doesn't start till EmuNAND starts, or screen turns on once any of the payloads starts (decrip9, emunand9, uncart or safeA9lh).

EDIT: No screen init boot up looks more like a stock/non CFW console! I like that!
