Gaming Safe to update 3DS for Acekard 2i?

Hi I just got a UK version of 3DS (Version 1.0.0-0E) and is it safe to update to new version so I can play my Acekard 2i? I have update the flashcart to 3DS so it's have that pink angel-like icon with japanese writing on it.

Most people here are doing it, but I would wait for the May update. They could block it, and rumors of even bricking (I really, really doubt that). In my opinion, it isn't worth it as of right now. Especially, if your handheld breaks and you have to send it in. 50 hours of Danny Phantom will show up in your activity log...

The Danny Phantom is not the icon for the 3DS. It's the japanese game with japanes writing but it have DORASU on the bottom.

Is there proof on the forum that someone did the 3DS update and still play the Acekard 2i?

it is safe, I am using my acekard on my 3ds after the update

Well, I figured they wouldn't use Danny Phantom again for the 3DS fix, but I wasn't sure what the new game they used was. My point was, they're going to see a ton of hours spent on one shovelware game, that Nintendo obviously knows was used for a flashcart fix.

Rydian presented proof to me that makes me 99.999999999% sure that they won't brick your 3DS.

Why would they use another shovelware game then? Something like New Super Mario Bros. would make a good header.

is it possible to change that picture to whatever you wanted? id rather it actually come up with acekard 2 i or something that identifies it! i dont worry that my 3ds is going to brick so dont care about the log on the 3ds
