Hi,

I am wondering if anyone on here with an IS-SNAKE-BOX has successfully managed to run a retail cartridge dump on an IS-SNAKE-BOX. I've made my own backups with decrypt9 and tried to run them on the IS-SNAKE-BOX but have had no luck. I can run projects built with Unity on the IS-SNAKE-BOX no problem.

If someone could provide me with easy step-by-step instructions as to how to run legal retail cartridge and eShop backups on an IS-SNAKE-BOX that would be very helpful, thanks!

You can if you create a ccx/cia of the loose files using homebrew tools.

Ryan create a tool available here.

https://github.com/ryanrocks462/3DS-Dev-unit-Signing-Tools

I also create a GUI for the homebrew makerom.exe application to create CIA from Loose Files.

Note that it ain't very friendly.

Note that you need the DEV AES COMMON KEY if you want it in CIA format.

um that maybe doesn´t helps you but um I can´t get that dumb circle pad working, I´ve got a third Person Player Project which I´m porting to the 3ds, but with Unity´s Standard Settings it just uses the d-pad, also the Input Manager doesn´t work, btw you must have a lot of Money if bought a snake-box for 3.000$

@SylverReZ, I dislike the kind of drm where you have to play single player games online all the time bc of some verification bs

@Xdqwerty, Don't use games that have Easy Anti-Cheat as its been exploited many times.

@SylverReZ, my PC can't run most AAA games so i wont

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

@SylverReZ, i think they have been doing that since late 2000s

Either that or their old games were unfinished aswell but we can't notice it

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol

So that version is semi rare
