Hey all, I need some help running backups on my Wii. Just getting back onto the scene, hadn't played any new games on my Wii since Madworld and Wanikas (sp) USB loader 1.1. I tried playing the new New Super Mario game and got a 102 error I think it was so I decided to follow this guide - http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=171901 - I started at "Update to 4.2" and went through to and including "After Modding". Everything 'seems' to be working fine however i'm using the same hard drive that I used to back when I was on 3.2e but NeoGamma won't recognise my harddrive, it just counts down from 30.

Any help is appreciated in advance.

It's on the FIRST PAGE you will need to update Wanin's USB Loader, use something updated like neogamma or configurable usb loader.

USB LOADER = USB LOADER GX (search for it)

DISC LOADER = NEOGAMMA 8 BETA 12

Those are you best options... with your HD, make sure you have it in the right port and secondly make sure you go straight to ur HD when u load up ur WII, as your HD my go into sleep mode, causing the countdown.

Please read my post before resulting to CAPS LOCK. I wrote "NeoGamma won't recognise my harddrive", meaning that I am using something "updated like neogamma". Thanks though, i'm assuming you just wrote that in a hurry and assumed the worse.

I have since tried uLoader which reads "ERROR: USB Device Disconnected (try unplug/plug)". I will try USB LOADER GX now though thanks Wynd. Also it's not the hard drive going to sleep as i'm trying this as soon as turning it on, and it's in the correct port though I have tried both.

Edit:- Tried USB LOADER GX, doesn't work though, just doesn't recognise a hard drive being entered.

Btw is there something special that I should have done going from a 3.2e soft modded wii to starting at THIS? Or is there a way to take my Wii back to factory settings and start from scratch to see if that works?

What cIOS you install?
See how it works after installing rev14:
http://teknoconsolas.tv/wanin/cIOS38_rev14-Installer.zip

Also current list of USB loaders:
http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/index.php?tit...Loader_Releases

And compatible drives:
http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/index.php?tit...patibility_List

I don't think you had to update to 4.2 at all, BTW...

Yea I think you're right about not needing to go up to fw 4.2. Is there any way to go back to factory settings? I 'think' i'm using rev14 because NeoGamma used to say when I opened it "You are using Rev 9". Now it doesn't say, it just loads.

Edit:- Just been on that List of USB Loaders that you posted and it seems like Configurable USB Loader + GUI seems to be the best. Also I read "Wii System Menu Supported
3.2 - 4.1" is Yes on all of them. Does this mean that version 4.2 doesn't work at all? Confused as to why it only says 3.2 - 4.1 when theres a guide for getting to 4.2.
