According to this site, the next-gen DS may have built-in 3G wireless to compete with the "iPhone menace" as I like to call it.

So it will have a built in wireless modem sweet, no game system handheld or otherwise as of today does not have this and the free 3G access is even better, I can pay $500-$900 for a gaming system with that kind of epic win.

Amazon Kindle has free 3G and so does the B&N Nook. They're both under $250, so it's safe to say that next DS may cost around that much. Of course E-Ink screen would be pretty expensive.

I don't think this would happen... if this were to get hacked you could prolly use it to tether devices to it. So lets say maybe thousands of people do this and idk use it to play xbox live.. that's a lot of bandwidth, that costs money and its all coming out of Nintendo's pocket if they were to do this it certainly would not be free. "If" it is free it will be shit... that is if this is true.

I highly doubt it, but if there is free 3G the system will security to the point of unhackability because if it does get hacked people will use the 3G for the PSPgo, PSP2, or a Wi-Fi enabled MP3 player.
