If this at least had ME2 then my opinion would change as a whole. But for now, as a big Mass Effect fan and someone who enjoyed all of Mass Effect 3 (and I still pick up multiplayer frequently), this is a bad decision.

EA should've just spent the time to port Crysis 3 or, hell, even some type of "Battlefield 3 GOTY Edition" over. The latter especially, just have it include like the map packs or a trial of Battlefield Premium. Plus since Activision has decided against supporting the Wii U, Battlefield can grasp the whole "multiplayer FPS" audience there while CoD is absent.

Nothing points to Activision actually saying that from what I searched. It seem like a random
"analysis" that ran across the internet.

Anyone, those do sound like better choices.
