FFIV is a solid game, if you haven't played it before. (And maybe if you have.) FFIII is the same way, but I like IV more.
Soma Bringer is kind of like FF Crystal Chronicles DS, in that its an off/online ARPG, kind of, but its also flawed in really similar ways. (Boring, repetitive combat, unimaginitive bosses, I could give a shit about story.) Solid for a few hours of gameplay so far, though I doubt I'll pick it back up having just cleared the game with one dude, and with a few others around L15-L20.
Ragnarok Online DS is also kind of okay, but also kind of like RO itself - stupid, teidous, deep character building with almost no character building... But feels like RO on the DS. Controls well. I wish online would happen at any time instead of in one L50 dungeon, because it isn't worth playing to L50, so far.
Super Robot Taisen OG Saga was great, with no replay value. Awesome art and graphics, stupid story, interesting and engaging battle system, a little difficult to figure out where to go, but travel is easy and the world map is straightforward. New Game + removes stats and skills, but leaves gear, which made the game stupid.
Suikoden Tierkris was okay but I forget everything about it, so I guess it wasn't worth it.
I think that's all the recent RPG's I've played. Still have Shin Megami Tensei DS that I haven't played, and I'll probably try Blood of Bahamut sometime this weekend. (Looking forward to it!)
