Hi,
I've just found out about version 2008! Looks great.
Is there perhaps a problem with Ncard systems?
When ever I flash (whatever the settings) from my iMacG5 (10.5.4) the games are transfered, I can boot the NDS, but when I start the game it freezes (white screens).
When I use a PC it does work!
Any ideas?

Thanks,

MArco

Try either reformatting or updating firmware...

@Jackreyes
Where can I find the latest firmware for the Ncard?
Thx

Take it to the N-Card thread, not the Rominator thread. If you did your research, you'd find that there's an incompatibility of some sort with the N-Card and Mac OS X, you need to use Windows to flash games so they don't get corrupted.

Keep on topic please.

Box art is located in your application data folder (I dunno if you're using windows or OSX). For windows it's in C:\Documents and Settings\~USER\Application Data\Rominator Data\NDS Box Art. For OSX you'll have to read the manual

.

Edit: Couldn't find the location in the manual but it seems to be located at ~/Library/Preferences/Rominator Data in OSX. Enjoy.

Yep here's all the locations:
Windows XP
C:\Documents and Settings\~username\Application Data\Rominator Data\NDS Box Art

Windows Vista
C:\Documents and Settings\~username\AppData\Roaming\Rominator Data\NDS Box Art

Mac OS X
~username\Library\Preferences\Rominator Data\NDS Box Art

I just want to point out that the Rominator Data folder can also be located in your Rominator Program working directory (where the exe resides). I know mine is.

Yes, what he said

This is helpful you have it on a USB drive or so. Rominator will first look for a folder called Rominator Data in the same location as the program, and if it doesn't find it, it will load the data from the aforementioned locations.

meh, I could've figured that out, for some reason I thought it had to be in the Application Support folder.
Anyway, thanks a lot

hello all,

on my hard drive I organized my roms like that :

+ nds
|---+ roms
|---|---+ puzzle
|---|---+ action
|---|---+ blabla...

In Rominator :
  • I defined "nds/roms" as my default roms location
  • I defined the root of my flash card as default roms location.
  • I checked "Automatically Copy Games to Respective Folder"
When I drag & drop a rom into my flash card the rom is not copied in the respective folder (puzzle, action...) but... in the root folder

Could you tell me how it is possible to keep my folder organization (puzzle, action...) with my flash card ?

Thanks a lot for your help

If you want to do that, you'll have to create multiple flashcarts, one with each folder (puzzle, etc) as the location. Then drag the rom into the correct flashcart folder.

I've just release Rominator v2008.11! Huzzah! To go along with the release, I've also release the official Rominator website, http://www.rominator.net/

Changes in v2008.11
[+] Rominator Website is online! Visit through the Help Menu. Complete usage documentation available at the website. http://www.rominator.net/
[+] Added a 'Score' column which can be enabled in the View Options*
[+] Going with the previous addition, a new button called 'Get Score' has been added, and will allow you to retrieve the Metacritic score for the selected games (They must have a Metacritic page or Get Score will be disabled)*
[+] Added Acekard 2/RPG (AKAIO) to the supported Flash Cards
[+] Cheats can be updated for the AKAIO firmware
[FIX] Flashing games to an Acekard 2/RPG will now give their save the '.nds.sav' extension properly
[+] Can now drag & drop games onto the Rominator icon in the Finder or the Dock (or double click them) and they will be added to the selected game list [Mac OS X]
[FIX] Fixed save importing with some games (such as Zelda)
[+] Added the ability to customize the toolbar, you can now rearrange the buttons as well as choose from a variety of buttons from the different program features!
[FIX] Filtering Size and Trim size now works properly
[+] Added in a Confirmation Code for the feedback submission. This is to prevent spam as well as make sure a person is sending the feedback and not a robot
[FIX] Fixed a bug with the DS Game Catalog that would close the connection to the Metacritic Database whenever the catalog was closed, and could not reconnect it until Rominator was relaunched
[FIX] Misc. small bug fixes.
* - Registered users only
Note that 2 weeks from now ALL previous versions of Rominator will not work, as the data has been moved on the server to a more organized location, and the old files will be deleted from the old location. Make sure you update or else you'll have a hard time getting it to work properly

Enjoy!

I've been getting along fine before, but I saw this and figured it might ease some difficulties I've been having.

I've already got my roms loaded on my memory card. I've got each one in a separate folder, and there are more than 100. Any plans for recursive folder access?

I liked the renaming feature a lot... I just have the same deal with the folder access.

I haven't used this much, but it looks nice. Good Job.

I'm working on something, no worries. I still haven't decided the best way for how Rominator will handle multiple folders on a flash card. For now just make multiple flash cards and tie them to the folders.

Thanks a lot for the solution Salamantis !

I tried to add the "Get Info" icon to the toolbar, but nothing happened. I drag the icon to the "Current Toolbar" area, but it doesn't "stick".
