Hi, So I recently ran into problems with my Xbox 360.

I got a new external hard drive and added in some Xbox 360 games and Xbox live arcade games with DLCs because my old one corrupted itself and deemed unusable anymore.
For the first few days it worked but now whenever I launch any games, it keeps freezing and just stays there. (Watch video at the bottom to see what it looks like.)
What's funny is that, if I start the game by going into the File Manager tab and launch the games from there with their "Default.xex" file. It works fine.

Currently, I do not know what version is on as it been years since it was last modded.

Video:

Any idea what's going on and how to fix it?

Try this, see if it helps. https://support.xbox.com/en-HK/help/xbox-360/console/clear-system-cache
You can also try running Aurora and search for any game updates.

Only thing else I can think of would be clear all game file directories in FSD and rescan. Make sure x360 games are selected as xbox 360 games, not apps or homebrew. Or even reinstall all new FSD files completely. Good luck.

Alright but.. could you maybe give a run down on how to reinstall it or any post?
I'd suggest downloading new FSD files and putting them on a fat32 thumb drive, then Open XEX menu on xbox360, then just copy over/ replace those FSD files on Xbox drive.

Thanks. 1 more thing, can I use my current USB that contains my games or is it best to just use a new USB drive when it comes to downloading the files?

You can use the same drive, will be fine. You will see the different files/folders on it using XEXmenu.
