Hardware Returning A Homebrew'd Wii-U To Nintendo For Repair

Can they actually tell if I've launched homebrew/Mocha CFW? All of my backups are installed to a USB HDD, so that shouldn't matter, right?

What's the issue ? I did that and explained them the Wii U bricked accidentally by updating SSMB (while this was actually a failed haxchi installation). :P They will be nice to you if you tell them you tried to Homebrew the WII (not Wii U) and you managed to repair it yourself. Then, if they tell you "Is it your first time making a repair with us?", answer Yes, then they will gladly and happily guide you through the steps to get your Wii U repaired. :D

As of your drive, the titles are tied to the account. If they were installed on console "A" with account "AA", they won't work even if you have console "B" + account "AA". In short, you won't have to spend money again on the titles but will have to re-download them.
