anyone be able to advise why my retroarch since updating it to 1.7.5 and firmware to 9.1, when i boot retroarch my joycons no longer do anything.

so i cant navigate, basically stuck can only press home to quit
Nintendo changed the drivers or whatever, so older homebrew such as RA 1.7.5 won't have inputs anymore. Time to update RA.

I realised i have 1.8 nro but installed was an older version.

ive updated, working fin apart from ps1/n64 since the update now doesnt work causes both sx os and atmos to kick an error and have to reboot.

Try removing retroarch.cfg and test it. If it doesn't work, try deleting the Retroarch folder and pasting the latest version.

i already deleted the cfg, ill try backup the folder, remove it and place new.

2d roms run fine, mastersystem, megadrive, snes, gba, seems to be 3d related maybe

If N64/PSX worked before but don't now, then that might say something about the problems some of us are having with playing N64 titles: they work fine on earlier versions, but those can't be used if one is on 9.x. However, we're still able to get those working for a while before RA crashes, so your problem might be something else.

yea for n64 i used the nsp version (claimed had better ram access), but yea had even completed hybrid heaven n64 few months back.

now if i try boot either a ps1 or n64 game instant error and forced to reboot.

I play n64 games on 9.1 and they work fine. I had problems with the most recent n64 core and the most recent NeoGeoPocket core. Those crashed instantly. I now replaced them with cores from 3-4 days ago and they now work fine again.

Ok I keep this simple does sameboy or TGBdual work with the link emulator (2 gameboys on the same screen) ?? Tried Tetris and it doesn’t work?!?

Only SameBoy supports split screen multiplayer emulation, TGBdual supports link emulation via netplay.

I'd disagree here. It works.
@theguru2 : Take a look at the second picture. This is the option you need to configure. I am uncertain myself, but I load the game via the core, and then I reload the game via this option for P1 and then for again P2 and then it works... Maybe one of these steps is redundant, but that's how it works for me.

Edit: Tested SameBoy. It's the same process. (Pic. with Mario Golf)
