Do you have the correct romset? You need to get the Final Burn Alpha roms, the mame ones won't work. N3DSXL here too and no problems with CPS2 ;)

Man, I've been trying lots of different FBA roms (as with CPS1 and Neo Geo roms), with no luck. Do you know if there's a specific romset, or any FBA CPS2 rom is supposed to work?

If anyone needs help with the FBA romset PM me and I will send you in the right direction.

Oddly enough it's only just a certain few CPS2 roms that are always troubling (Even after rolling back with clrmamepro). Main culprits so far seem to be mvsc, sfa3, xmvsf, and mshvsf.
Dunno if it's purely just memory issues that recently arose with said culprit roms, since I remember in the earliest FBA releases for 3DS, mvsc worked.
:T

Also, don't know if anyone else had this figured out; To make the screenshot function work, set the directory in config, and then in Config -> Video, set "GPU Screenshot Enable" to OFF.
Only makes sense I suppose, since it's all software so far.

I need help getting the Playstation emulator to work. I ended up with a .cue file. Is that even a correct file type? Also I tried that Bios image stuff but it still keeps saying does not have enough samples for monitor refresh rate estimation. I have N3DS. Please help if you can understand my dilemma ;.;

gPSP runs incredibly well (.cia version) and all GBA games I've tried run at full speed (N3DS, Emunand 9.5). One strange issue though: I tried Doom 1 GBA and it actually seems to run smoother than the native GBA, which is nice. Only problem is after about 5 minutes of play, the whole 3DS locks up, and I have to hold the power button down to turn it off. I can replicate this issue on Episode 3 each time I launch a new game. It doesn't seem to happen on any other GBA games.

Has anyone else had this issue with Doom (GBA) in gPSP?

Yeah I've had trouble with those games for awhile, they where working on an earlier nightly.

Has anyone else had this issue with Doom (GBA) in gPSP?

Honestly?
...Kiiiiiinda REALLY recommend just using the 3DS homebrew version to play the original PC port.
Otherwise, on topic, I think that's just a memory issue potentially, or an odd incompatibility with gPSP. It has it's qwerks from what I remember on the PSP.

I need help getting the Playstation emulator to work. I used a website called..... A certain ROM site related to cannabis

fix your shit before you wreck your shit. Get rid of that website before a mod gives you a shiny ban hammer. Number one rule about ROM Club. You don't TALK about where you have "ROM Club"

You need to use the .bin file, not the .cue file. If it ends in .bin.cue, you can just remove the .cue bit.

My file just says "Crash Bandicoot (USA)" but lists it as a CUE file and I can't change that. I got a data.bin.ecm file too. I'm sorry I'm so ignorant with this but I looked all over for a video tutorial or something.

yeah I got that ZIP file too...probably same website heh...then I did research on wtf an ECM file is. Then I grabbed the ROM elsewhere. Which is what you'll have to do

No need to apologise, everyone has to start from somewhere. :P
As for the files, is the data.bin.ecm file very large (more than 100MB)?

Yes. I tried making that a .bin file and launching it but still nothing.

Well it'd be cool if we could talk even a little bit about the ROM club.

yeah GBATEMP WAS ROM Club..or one of the many clubs. Nintendo and the ESA almost ended us for that very reason. So now we don't talk about it. It's also in the Rules. Please Read them. a mod won't be so forgiving as I am
