I haven't been keeping track this past week, are cia's working on n3ds yet? Thank you guys!

Any reasons why the latest build is now 12 MB?

Looks like the .elf files were removed. Those are only useful when making 3ds/3dsx/cia files. So I imagine they were removed because both cia and 3dsx files are there.

Any chances SuperFX emulation will be tightened up on either CatSFC or SNES9X Next? The speed as it stands right now is abysmal, my old Wii does better. All the same, awesome to see some signs of life for SuperFX on the 3DS.

Your old Wii is also a lot more powerful than a 3DS (compare the two Xenoblades and you'll get an idea). SNES9X Next framerate is abysmal and unplayable even on N3DS (.3dsx anyways, can't speak for .cia) so your only hope is CatSFC, but I'd be surprised if SFX emulation ever got to playable FPS. Who knows though..

Haven't played either Xenoblade, but I will certainly take your word for it. And yeah, the .CIA is just as slow. Poor core isn't even running Super Metroid at full speed, to say nothing of any SuperFX game. CatSFC is worse off due to similar speed and constant screen flickers. I'm still hopeful we get full speed and SuperFX (be it in Retroarch or BlargSNES), but it looks like it may take a bit.

EDIT: On a side note, you'll have to forgive my "old Wii" comment. I am aware the two systems are a good ways apart in terms of power, but I really didn't think before typing that -.-

im not sure but what should the 32x bios be named inside the retroarch/cores/system ?

Picodrive doesn't require the 32x BIOS in order to run 32x games. Speaking of 32x, I tried Mortal Kombat II and Knuckles' Chaotix and they both run pretty much perfectly on the CIA build (thanks to the dynarec) on N3DS. As a side note though, playing consecutive 32x games crashes picodrive, and hence the 3DS.

Just tried Resident Evil 3 on PCSX ReARMed to see how it compares with Resident Evil 2.

Runs at 45fps to 53fps most of the time, dipping depending on what is happening on screen. That sounds quite poor, but it's actually extremely playable. When it drops frames, it seems to actually drop the frames like PC games rather than slowing the whole game down like console games usually do. The result is that the game essentially feels like full speed even when running at low as 43fps. Even the music is fine. So as long as you're happy to skip the cutscenes and tolerate low framerates when lots of enemies and effects are on screen, this is not only playable but rather enjoyable! Just like Resident Evil 2.

Tested on a New 3DS running EmuNAND 9.5, using the .cia version with dynarec.

Xenoblade 3D is a poor example of a port. The biggest giveaway is the poorly rendered text and the smaller cart size compared to the Wii version. And there are
better running SNES emulators than 9X. Compatibility is the real question.

Wait, what?!
32x emulation?!

Why the hell does 3DS have this and Wii does not?!
Could the Wii even handle it?
